Boom Ravers, not just a game
A little insight into what we’re thinking and hoping for...
Boom Ravers was born on the dancefloor. Technically, in a sweaty tent at Boomtown 2019. It’s only recently that we started acting on the idea.
At its heart, this project is about celebrating the community: the DJs, MCs, performers, musicians and ravers who make the underground scene what it is. Not only them, but also the people who capture the moments, the photographers and videographers, and the ones who make it all happen, the organisers, event promoters, sound engineers and the crews who build spaces of magic and mayhem.
This isn’t just a trading card game. It’s a living archive of the people who keep the culture alive. Something fun, weird, collectable and meaningful.
Especially in the wake of Balter.
The Long-Term Vision
Boom Ravers aims to give back to the scene that inspired it by
paying and spotlighting artists,
hosting community-led events,
collaborating with grassroots and DIY crews,
creating opportunities for students, designers and creatives, and giving back to the UK rave scene/festivals as much as possible while connecting scenes worldwide.
As the world grows more divided politically, socially and economically, the dancefloor remains one of the few places where those walls break down. Through music, we share space, story, struggle and joy.
Boom Ravers exists to strengthen that connection, to remind us that we’re part of something bigger than ourselves and that unity doesn’t mean uniformity.
This project comes from our lifelong love of raving, gaming and art. With artists already onboard from the UK, Japan, Australia and beyond, the vision is global, connecting crews across continents to build something weird and beautiful together.
We’re building something that lasts and is for everyone.
Much love to you all, and thank you for being part of it
